ANG PAGTATAGPO SA BALON

Ang pagdaan ni Hesus sa Samaria galing ng Judea ay hindi isang aksidente kundi ninais Niya upang ipakilala Niya ang Kanyang sarili bilang hinihintay na Mesias. Ang intensyon na iyon ay pagpapakita na ang kaligtasan ay hindi lamang sa mga Hudyo kundi maging sa ibang lahi. 

Ang pagpapakilala ni Hesus ay nagsimula ng Siya ay humingi ng tubig sa babaeng Samaritana. Ipinakilala Niya ang tagapagbigay ng tubig na pumapatid ng uhaw magpakailanman. At inihayag Niya na Siya ang tagapagbigay ng tubig na iyon nag makapabibigay ng buhay na walang hanggan. Kaya ang babae ay humingi sa Kaniya ngunit hindi niya naiintidihan na ang sinasabi ni Hesus ay espirituwal at hindi literal na tubig.

Ang sumunod na pag-uusap na dumugtong ay ang patungkol sa asawa. Ipinatawag ni Hesus ang asawa ng babae upang ikumpisal ang katotohanan na wala siyang asawa ngunit may kinakasama na hindi asawa. At alam din ni Niya na mayroon itong limang naging asawa. Ipinakikita nito na bilang Diyos ay batid Niya ang buhay ng isang tao. Siya ay tinuring na propeta dahil sa pag-uusap na ito.

Sinundan ito ng paksa patungkol sa pagsamba. Ang mga Hudyo ay sa Jerusalem at ang mga Samaritano ay sa Gerizim. Ngunit sinabi ni Hesus na ang pagdating ng panahon na hindi na mananatili sa mga bundok na ito sasamba ang dalawang lahi kundi sa Espiritu at katotohanan sapagkat ang Diyos ay espiritu. Sa sinabi na ito ni Hesus ay naalala ng babae ang propesiya patungkol sa Mesias na tagapahayag ng mga bagay na inihayag ni Hesus. Kaya ang sinabi Niya na Siya ang kanilang hinihintay na Mesias. 

Sa tagpong ito ay nanampalataya ang babae kay Hesus na Siya ang Mesias at sa kanyang kagalakan sinabi ng babae sa kanyang mga kababayan patungkol sa Mesias na kanyang natagpuan sa balon. Nagpunta ang mga ito kay Hesus ay sila ay nagsisampalataya na Siya ang Tagapagligtas. 

Ang tagpong ito sa balon ay nagpapakita na ipapahayag ng Diyos ang Kanyang sarili sa atin upang tayo maligtas. Isang responsibilidad na ipangaral na Siya ay ang Mesias na inaasahan ng mundo, para sa kaligtasan ng ating mga mahal sa buhay gaya  ng ginawa ng babaeng Samaritana. Ipahayag sa mga tao na si Hesus ang Mesias at Siya lamang ang makapagbibigay ng tubig na nagbibigay ng buhay na walang hanggan.

¹⁹ And this is the testimony of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, “Who are you?”²⁰  He confessed, and did not deny, but confessed, “I am not the Christ.” ²¹ And they asked him, “What then? Are you Elijah?” He said, “I am not.” “Are you the Prophet?” And he answered, “No.” ²² So they said to him, “Who are you? We need to give an answer to those who sent us. What do you say about yourself?” ²³ He said, “I am the voice of one crying out in the wilderness, ‘Make straight^[g] the way of the Lord,’ as the prophet Isaiah said.”

THESIS: The 3 Evidences of Jesus' Divinity


I. His Former Nature

        Jesus became flesh. That's a wonderful and very monumental statement of His divinity. If Christ became flesh, the question would be this, "What was His nature when He was not yet come into flesh?" That would make other religions who do not believe Jesus as God. His former nature will speak about His claim.


II. His Followers' Testimony


       The statement "We see His glory" meaning they witness the very glory of Jesus as the ONE and ONLY. This ONE and ONLY is the exclusivity of Christ as begotten Son who is the very promised and prophesied in the Old Testament. This proves that He is divine.




III. His Former Companion


       Who is the former companion of Jesus when He was not yet incarnate? There is only one answer and this is His Father. He is from the Father. Full of grace and truth is the very attributes of the Father and He came from the Father with full of grace and truth means that their essence are one. This proves that He is fully divine.
